Patti Burr Awarded with Rotarian of the Year Award

We recently celebrated our outgoing 2012-2013 Board of Directors and welcomed  the incoming members, we also had the opportunity to recognize one of our new members as Rotarian of the Year. During our annual dinner, we celebrated the board service contributed by Wayne Maness, President; Darla Neeley, Treasurer; and Isabel Waddell, Past President during the 2012-2013 year. We also welcomed the new Board of Directors for 2013-2014: 

  • President, Aaron Jenkins
  • President-Elect, Robert Heneage
  • Vice President, Carrie Gorgacz
  • Treasurer, Jennifer Brannen
  • Secretary, Christi Lundberg-Bleffert
  • Sergeant at Arms, Jim Schulz and Brian Gibson
  • Past President, Wayne Maness
 
In his last gesture as outgoing President, Wayne Maness had the honor of presenting Patti Burr, with the Rotarian of the Year Award - an award distributed by the Board to a member that has gone above and beyond for the club. In her first year, Patti stepped up to be the liaison with the local Interact Club - spending time with the young leaders and giving them guidance on their projects and how to govern their club. Patti also presented to Rotary on a recent trip to Mali with the Ouelessebougou Alliance, offering medical services to those without access to medical care in a remote village in Africa. We are lucky to have Patti as a local Rotarian!
